How to report copyright infringement on Drift Offers and how we handle takedowns. We follow the DMCA safe-harbor procedure.

  1. 01

    Our policy

Drift Offers respects intellectual property rights. We respond to clear notices of copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). We may also remove content and terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

  2. 02

    Designated DMCA agent

Notices must be sent to our designated agent:

DMCA Agent — Drift Offers LLC
    [TBD: agent name]
    [TBD: postal address]
    Email: [email protected]

Our agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office under registration number [TBD: register at https://www.copyright.gov/dmca-directory/ before launch].

  3. 03

How to file a takedown notice

To be valid, your notice must include all of the following:

    • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
    • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
    • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its URL on driftoffers.com.
    • Your contact information — name, address, phone, email.
    • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized.
    • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act.

Knowingly material misrepresentations may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). When in doubt, consult counsel before filing.

  4. 04

    Counter-notification

If you believe material was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice including: your signature, identification of the removed material and its previous location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake, your contact info, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in [TBD: judicial district] (or your district if outside the U.S.).

We may restore the material after 10 business days unless we receive notice that the original claimant has filed suit.

  5. 05

    Repeat-infringer policy

We terminate accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers. What counts as “repeat” is determined case-by-case — generally three substantiated notices within twelve months, plus any single notice involving a clear pattern of bad-faith uploading. [TBD: confirm threshold with counsel before launch].

  6. 06

Trademark, right of publicity, and other IP

The DMCA covers copyright only. For trademark complaints, right-of-publicity claims, defamation, or stolen-vehicle reports, contact [email protected] with documentation. We respond within 5 business days.
